A cute book that was easy to read I liked the idea of time travel being interwoven in the text I also appreciated the way relationships between pre teens was treated as it was realistic highlighting all the ways in which we misunderstand each other.

I had heard of When You Reach Me and was often on the edge of purchasing it for my daughter at book fairs So, when this special combo came up at a special price, I figured why not I am so glad I got these While When You Reach Me was a sweet and unique middle grade sic fi, First Light really sucked me in with a fascinating world and strong character development The former focuses on time travel, with a lot of reference to the classic, A Wrinkle in Time, while the latter is dystopian in style and [...]

These books were wonderful, and refreshingly different, compared to much of the other YA fiction around It s hard to compare the two, given the different narrative styles and subject matter, but I liked First Light better Maybe it s just my style They re both 5 star books in my opinion though. My only complaint is relating to the actual ebook format itself Would it be too much trouble to have someone read it over, or even just run it through a spell checker On every single page on my Kindle, the [...]
