      We were all on to a hiding to nothing with this endeavour, authors, me as Joy Division fan and me as reader.If you write stories based on the music of a sacred band and the lyrics by someone of the order of a 20th Century metaphysical poet, then to my mind apart from the tall orderness of the endeavour the stories should somehow speak and dialogue with the music lyrics The problem here is that too often the stories link to the songs whose lyrics I have memorised from 35 years of listening We wer [...]

      I stayed up till 2am to finish this book.I love short stories and this is a great collection.It wasn t what I expected but this was better.Recommend to fans of joy division and short stories And those that aren t fan.

      A Christmas present from my parents I ve read this over the past few days at every opportunity A brilliant and varied selection of short stories, inspired by Unknown Pleasures Nice to see the graphic interlude inspired by Transmission too.

      I m a massive Joy Division fan and really wanted to like this Unfortunately none of the stories except for the last one really resonated with me The I think out it the odder the entire idea of stories inspired by Joy Division seams I think the music is all that is required.
