Goddamn the epicness I would like to say though, The walk to Arlong Park is so much better in the anime Luffy hands over his hat to Nami, Zoro puts on his bandana and Sanji lights a cigarette The epic soundtrack on the back and the Walk You know the enemies are fucked xD I love rereading the whole series, i really do 3

Right in the feels I don t know why I had the urge to reread this but worth it One Piece will always remain one of the greatest. And this arc This arc remains to date one of the most emotional stories that I have ever come across Nami s story made me cry yet again There is one point in every Anime Manga that makes you all emotional and the one that you want to keep rereading all over again Naruto had his reunion with Kushina, DBZ had Vegeta s murder by Frieza and One Piece has had this Absolutely [...]

The Arlong Park arc continues as Luffy edges closer to Cocoyashi village in an attempt to get his ship and friends back The story does a great job selling Arlong as the main villain The cold monster is pure evil, always acting like his cruel acts are backed up by honor and pride His hold on the island and its people deliver a new dynamic the overall story has yet to have Usopp learns full well why Fishmen are not to be trifled with when he is captured by them Zoro goes on a hunt for Usopp after [...]

Sawtooth Arlong and his pirate gang have held Coco village captive for years, extracting tribute on a yearly basis in exchange for allowing them to live When foolhardy Usopp challenges that rule, the village is angry with him, fearing that he is endangering their safety Nami appears to see what s going on, lugging her precious berries If she can collect 100 million of them, the pirates have promised to sell her the village, and she is determined to make her goal, no matter how she has to do it.M [...]

Like the title suggested, this serial can make the lovers of One Piece shed tears as well.Usopp has got caught by the mermen and in front of all of the mermen, has been executed by Nami All of Luffy s crew now realize that Nami is actually a part of Arlong crew, and that the girl has fooled them all this time Not denying that she killed Usopp, she tells them to leave Arlong Park immediately It turns out that Usopp is still alive, that Nami actually stabbed her own hand to fake Usopp s death, and [...]

Kicking off this volume with Chapter 72 Suited to One s Level. On Nami s home island there is trouble, and it s the merman kind Nami s sister fills Usopp in on the dirt that the Arlong crew has been committing for the past eight years Gin, the man whom was in love with Nami s foster mother Bellemare, is in danger Usopp in a fit of insanity and courage shoots Arlong, taunts him, and then runs Very funny scene that lightens the heavy atmosphere of the plot This is where I think Oda sensei is genius [...]

Eiichiro Oda is simply spectacular I haven t found I single volume I didn t love yet The way he takes his time to introduce the characters and explain why they act the way they do, opening the door on their past.It gets me every effing time. This time we get to know Nami a bit better and her story is heartbreaking as well. That sprinkle of female empowerment though, very appreciated Sir Kudos to you

This one has the perfect title I m totally crying right now I always start crying when we reach the flashbacks about Nami s childhood and then at the end when Luffy puts the hat on her head I just sob like a lunatic I really like this arc.

Alright,One Piecehas successfully created what I would consider to be the firsttruly phenomenal a volume and b story arc What I always found beautiful about One Piece is that although the atmosphere tends to remain very uplifting surrounding Luffy with his fearlessness and ability to give the reader the confidence that he could best any given villain, the foundation of the narrative is founded in the emotional roots within these beginning 100 chapters that comprise the East Blue Saga, the first [...]

The chapters of this volume correspond to my favorite episodes of the anime Nami s full backstory, Arlong s betrayal of her, and the most captivating scene of maybe the entire series Nami stabbing her tattoo, Luffy grabbing her arm, her tearfully asking for help, and Luffy s entrance into Arlong Park Like, it still gives me goosebumps if you take the time to read it slowly This is the best arc of the series so far by a long shot.

    17. TheGracefulReader on said:

THE GOOD Luffy Luffy s personality really stood out in this volume, especially in his unwillingness to judge and condemn Nami without anything to go on other than others words I feel that his being uninterested in her story says a lot about Luffy, what has happened or been done in the past may have built you into who you are, but he won t let that sway his opinion he has built of someone Zoro and Sanji These two already have a love hate relationship They love to hate each other, haha Their argui [...]

This one gets the gang back together after they were split up during the events of volumes seven and eight, reveals Nami s history, and sets up the conflict between Luffy and crew and Arlong s pirates without starting the battle.

This includes one of the most memorable scenes in all of One Piece A moment where the crew exceeds themselves to be greater than the sum of their parts The arc continues, but here the weight of the stakes is made known in a very tangible way.

Finally, we get some backstory to Nami The pirates appeared when she was a child They demanded that each person s life to be paid for Her and her sister s adoptive mother can only afford to pay for the children She is killed and Nami is carted off by the pirates when they learn that she is a very young cartographer They make a deal with her that she can buy back her village from them for 100 million berries.I now love her and her village They are sick and tired of the pirates The fight begins.
