Okay, I didn t read the kindle edition In fact I won a paperback copy of Same Kind of Different As Me through giveaways, thank you very much, it always makes me so happy to win a book I apologize for my slothful decision to not change my edition for my review but the cover looks just like this A great story, spiritually encouraging, well enough written but not a great book, if you know what I mean It s not at all bad but personally I can t go to five star land The book tackles some tough issues [...]

This is a true story that is told in the voices of Ron Hall and Denver Moore The chapters go back and forth between Ron s and Denver s point of view, often about the same things They became lifelong friends after Ron s wife Deborah encouraged Ron to become friends with Denver Denver was an angry man with a lot of baggage when he first came into Ron and Deborah s life at the mission but Deborah was sure he was the man she saw in her dream that was going to change the mission in a great way Ron tr [...]

This biography autobiography is written in first person and reads slightly like a fiction title Each chapter alternates between each man, Ron Hall and Denver Moore, as they tell their stories and how their life paths entwined to form a strong bond of friendship In the beginning, they are about as opposite as opposite can be, but over their life experiences, they realize they have in common than originally thought, and it is Ron s wife, Deborah that urged them together. It was an interesting book [...]

PopSugar Reading Prompt A book about a real personWow, the idea that modern day slaves in America in the 1960s when we were sending people into space just boggles my mind and hurts my heart so much It resonated with me with the events in the last year revealing racism than I thought could still exist in this time and age The three main characters are Ron Hall, who wrote this book, is the International Art Dealer, his wife Deborah who pulled everything together, and Denver, who had so many metam [...]

I enjoyed this true story read about the friendship that was formed between Ron Hall and Denver Moore brought about by Ron s wife Deborah insistence on Ron befriending Denver I love how the book alternated between telling Denver s story and then Ron s.ging the both of them together in the spirit of God and love It is a very Chrisitan book and storyease bear that in mind when reading.

I received a complimentary copy The story is one you could read around a fire to an older crowd The author has a style that draws you into the stories and gives you characters that could easily have been real well that is probably because they were at some point It is one great thing to be able to retell a story in such a way that it was vivid and true then when it was occuring.
