We have used and enjoyed this collection for preschool and kindergarten read aloud While some of Burton s ideas can be politically objectionable, her whimsical stories, personification of heavy machinery, captivating illustrations and themes of loyalty, hard work, and adaptation to change are sure to make these stories a family favorite for both children and their readers.I would recommend this hardcover edition for years of reading Neither the stories nor the illustrations have been reduced, an [...]
