I m pretty sure this was my favorite of the series and deserves a pleased 4 star rating Jane and Nicholas are so entertaining because while they know they need to hold the society s rules as Jane is unmarried and a governess which means traveling unaccompanied with a man can ruin her career Having said that, both have something to gain from working together and it turns out it is much than keeping a position or getting a horse back Nicholas and Jane find in each other things they didn t expect [...]

This is the best of the three in this series Even though it is the last one, it is basically a standalone read, as hero and heroine are alone and on the road for much of the book.In the first two instalments of this series I struggled with all the mental lusting and sex thoughts at inappropriate times, and I was glad that wasn t the case with this one I also thought there were some interesting little research touches, as the characters travel across England and stop in real places. This is a shor [...]

I would like to thank Julia Kelly, PocketStar Books, and Simon Schuster, Inc for allowing me to read this novel in exchange for an honest review. When Jane Ephram realizes her charge flew the coop, she knows she has to get the young lady back before the situation is discovered and both their reputations and therefore their lives are ruined But where to start her search Perhaps by interviewing the gentleman whose horse had been stolen during the night That horse was the key to a better future for [...]

I ve been excited for Jane s story since I picked up this series the quiet one, a bit reserved than her two best friends Elizabeth and Mary, and far settled in her life s journey With only ever serving the Earl of Rawson and his only daughter, Lady Margaret When Jane awakes in a remote country inn, she finds her charge has disappeared Determined to sort out this mess and find Lady Margaret before she reaches Gretna Green, she observes a gentleman in some distress over a stolen horse Nicholas H [...]

Short but delightful I have a few things perhaps that bothered me One was the sex too quickly with no thought of ruination Another was the swearing in front of ladies The last bother was the title mix of baron versus knight and how to address that All in all it is a quick and interesting read one that I would pick up for a short trip and enjoy it all the I can say this was a delightful difference from the others I was given this book in return for an honest review Anna Swedenmom

This was a nice end to the Governess series by Julia Kelly I found Jane and Nicholas to be likable characters and the road trip element to their romance made a for a pleasant change from typical regency romances Nicholas is a down on his luck Baron who has inherited a non profitable estates from his late father and two sisters who need to make a splash and marry well Jane is a pragmatic governess with a high spirited run away charge When Jane s charge Lady Margaret steals Nicholas horse Moonligh [...]

3.5 stars. This third Victorian governess romance is a fun, light, romp of a read that works best if you re not too concerned with period detail but like the feel of a historical period Jane is a determined woman, proper when necessary and fierce when required, while Nicholas is sometimes grumpy but mostly happy to go along with what Jane tells him It s a road trip book and is nicely enjoyable.Up to a point Incorrect usage of titles are a pet peeve of mine, and here we have Sir Nicholas Hollings, [...]
